ERASMUS studies - deadlines
Applications have to be handed in at the beginning of the new year for the following academic year.
There is only one deadline for going abroad during winter or summer.
Deadline for the academic year 2023/2024: end of January/early February (tba)
There is no need to wait for this deadline, applications can be handed in before.
Your possibilities for your semester abroad:
Studies via ERASMUS+ (studying within Europe via Cogsci partner universities)
Studies via University Co-operations (studying worldwide via UOS partner universities)
Internships (organized by you, support via ERASMUS in Europe possible; DAAD programs)
Our Mentoring Team put together a presentation to help you plan your semester abroad:
What is the ERASMUS code of Osnabrück University?
Who is the "Institutional ERASMUS Coordinator"?
Laura Rohe at the International Office
Who is "Academic Advisor"?
Prof. Dr. Sven Walter, Wachsbleiche 27, 49090 Osnabrück, firstname.lastname@example.org
Who is the "Departmental ERASMUS Coordinator"?
Petra Dießel, Wachsbleiche 27, 49090 Osnabrück, email@example.com
To which email address do I send my Online-Learning-Agreement?
(Some universities still use the pdf version of the LA. Please send it to: firstname.lastname@example.org)
Do I need a language certificate English for the application in January?
Can I submit the application by mail?
Should I apply for a semester of leave?
If you take a leave of absence for the obligatory stay abroad, you can still take exams in Osnabrück, so it is always advisable to apply for a leave of absence in the Bachelor (Studierendensekretariat).
The only advantage of staying enrolled is that you can validate your CampusCard, which means that when you return you will have the semester ticket again and can pay cashless in the Mensa (but of course you will then pay the full amount).
Can I apply for ERASMUS+ and university partnerships at the same time?
Yes, but the application procedures are different. For university partnerships please contact Mrs. Beate Teutloff in the Int. office. For ERASMUS+ applications Petra Dießel in the Mobility Office of the IKW.
