Data mining/analysis of biomedical signals of neuropathologies (e.g. epilepsy), machine learning, time-series analysis, electrophysiological signals, ensemble methods (e.g. random decision forests), detection of rare events
The main area of application of my research is on biomedical signals (e.g. EEG, iEEG, ECG etc) of neuropathologies. I use machine learning methods (e.g. ensemble methods) to detect and understand patterns and informative components in intracranial EEG recordings of epileptic patients.
Currently, I am focusing on prediction of epileptic seizures in a computationally simple way suitable for usage in closed-loop EEG devices for seizure prediction and intervention.
